The C-pan arm shown in the above video is a working prototype. The product is expected to ship early 2016.
The C-pan arm is unique – this enables the operator to move the camera in a variety of different paths; straight pan, outward curve, inward curve, horizontal move, vertical, or at a sloped angle. Think of a cross between a jib, a slider, a dolly, and wrap this together into a portable package that can be operated by a single person. This C-Pan camera guide enables you to get precision camera moves which would be very difficult or impossible to achieve in another way, certainly on a small budget.
When making a straight pan, the arm functions as a traditional straight-track dolly slider, but without the tracks, where it can pan in a range of 3 1/2 times its folded length (which is approx. 55 cm).
The C-pan arm comes with dumbbells which can be used to counter weigh vertical movements and/or to smoothen and stabilise horizontal moves.
